Three's Company

Who knew I wasn't the only new baby on the block? What a lucky guy i am to have two slightly older girlfriends that live right on my street.  Recently we all got together for a mommy luncheon - which I hope will become a regular happening! Hazel (lady baby to my right) is 1 month older and Marie (cougar to my left) is two months older- it's not too bad being the only guy in the group!

Hope everyone has been having a wonderful Holiday season!

p.s. This week I'm very curious about the light switch in my room.  Everytime i am eating it seems to be winking and smiling at me - silly switch always making me laugh.

2 months, eight nights and whole lotta loot

Hola -  i am currently 2 months plus a day old (but whose counting). Phew- how time flies - i hear my mom tell people that it feels like its been 6 months but i am not exactly sure how long 6 months "feels like" - but from my quick rough precise calculations that would be about 3 times the amount of days we have already spent laughing, dancing, eating, reading, skyping, eating, telling jokes, napping, eating...so if that's the case i'll take it.

Just like the Maccabees who rededicated their temple in Jerusalem we reclaimed and decorated our mantel for Hanukkah with some very special menorahs. One from my Ema's bat mitzvah, one from my Bubby, one from my mom and Ema's third date also known as their trip to Guatemala and two new ones to start my own collection (thank you Cantor Family).  Thoughts from my first Hanukkah: making matzoh balls is sticky business, its so nice how the neighborhood decorates for the festival of lights, dill is delicious, no you cant blow out the Hanukkah candles, give my Ema a catchy Hanukkah song and she'll sing three, just like the "Eternal Flame" oil only enough for one day but lasted eight  - my hair still smells like latkes.  Xo Curiously Carter

Nobody gonna break-a our stride...

nobody gonna hold us down...oh no - we got to keep on movin.  Yesterday was an intense day in the Godin household.  I had my 6 week check-up (although i am currently an elder 7 weeks) where i received some sort of cocktail of medicinal potions to protect me from bad things.  What i do know is after the first prick sunk in i definitely was aware of the other two. Unfortunately after my appointment we had to pick Katie up from her knee surgery.  Its a sad fact but I have been to the vet as many times as i have been to my own Dr.
Poor Katie and i have been spending alot of time snoozing through the yucks but thankfully we have each other, matching bandaids and two very attentive nursemoms.
We are hoping that Hanukkah Harry will be bringing something delightfully distracting for under the menorah.  XO Curiously Carter

we are F+Ramily

It has been 7 weeks already and we have been very busy keeping up with my social engagements. I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend some sweet time with some of the the amazing people in my life. Unfortunately most of my extended family live in different states so i look forward to taking some trips up and out to visit YOU soon.  Until then holler at me for a chit chat on skype or facetime. xo Curiously Carter

My Bris

It's been a busy 6 weeks and I wanted to go back and fill you in on a very important day in my life... my Bris.

"You are your mother's dreams realized, their hopes fulfilled.  You are the latest and best chapter in the unfolding lives of your family.  You are a bridge over which we, who welcome you, can gaze from this day into future days, from our generation into yours.  You are the newest link in the endless chain of your history."

Turkey drunk

We spent Thanksgiving at my friends Michelle and Vivians house- where i worked the crowd and surfed from one cozy set of arms to another. Unfortunately i got too comfy and my diaper was too full and my new friend Liaura got too wet. Yet again another lesson learned for my moms. All and all we had a nice evening eating turkey and spending time with one another. Xo Carter
p.s. I'm thankful my family and friends - some of whom you'll get to meet in my next post.
I'm curious- what are you thankful for?

NAP....A

This past weekend my moms took me up to Napa to see how olive oil is made. We watched how the big stone wheel rolled over the freshly picked olives pressing out the oils. They were able to sample the delicious oil hot off the press and i did later (wink wink).  We stayed overnight in a hotel where the king bed was big enough for all of us to sleep together, and i had my first bottle where i had to explain to my moms i prefer room temp over ice cold breast milk.....duh.

p.s. today i am curious about rain and how it drips from the trees while we are walking Katie

Its my party....

and i'll cry if i want to. Today is my numero uno month birthday.

My moms keep saying that it looks like i am storing milk in my hands, arms and cheeks- but i just call it being resourceful.  I overheard some lady in Target say something about a "chipmunk"- but i just don't see it.

Anyway I definitely feel like i am getting older because my moms have already given me a laundry list of chores (thankfully not literally laundry- cause sock matching is a drag) -

Working on building a strong neck and core during Tummy Time.

Working on my words and ear for speech- my silly moms use a papertowel tube to tell me secrets and jokes.

Working on my keen sense of smell- move over citrus you're a bore- hello vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Working on my X-ray vision with high contrast sights.

Working on my sense of touch with facials and baths, dog petting, cozy blanket cuddling and skin time.
